He yawned for the third time since he opened his eyes a few minutes ago. He had yet to get out bed. Seb had no idea, why he was up so early. He absolutely despised early mornings, and if he wasn’t so committed to staying in shape he’d roll over and go back to sleep. Working out. That was the reason he was up so early. He lay in bed contemplating if it was really necessary. But he knew he had too, he couldn’t not do it. He, every day, was up at 5:00, and out running from 5:30 until 8:00, it seemed like the only thing he could commit too. He sighed. He really didn’t want to get out of bed, but he knew he had to. He yawned and stretched for a few minutes, before getting out of bed.
He was still a little sore from the wrestling match him and his roommate had had the day before. His roommate was damn good, he could at least admit to that. He rubbed the spot on his arm that got the most abuse. “Ass.” he said a little louder than he intended, and paused making sure his roommate hadn’t heard him. He hadn’t. He was knocked out cold snoring and Seb envied him. He wished he could go back to sleep and sleep for the rest of the day. But he had a work out to stick too and then a job to get too.
He made his way over to his closet and threw on his typical workout clothes, of gym shorts and a wife beater. He had always been the type of person who put his pants on before his shirt. He dug through his drawer searching for his favorite pair of socks. His short, ankle, polka dotted socks. He had gotten them a couple decades ago as a present from his two youngest sisters and loved them on spot. Yea he knew that it wasn’t the most masculine thing in the world for him to own, but well he loved them anyway. He put on his white sneakers, and ran a comb through his hair. He grabbed his phone, keys and a pair of sunglasses and took a look in the mirror one last time before heading out the door. “Fresh, as usual,” he said to his reflection. He laughed a little at that, and left out of his bedroom door.
It was nearing the end of his work out and Seb, found himself in the park, and decided that here would be a good place to rest. Pulling a cigarette out his back pocket, he lit it and leaned against the closest tree, letting his mind wander. Seb was trying to be a good boy. Trying and failing miserably. He didn’t like who he was becoming, or what he was doing with his life. Okay maybe that was a lie, he did enjoy some aspects of what he was doing with his life. But he didn’t like how he was doing it. ‘At least, I still got a banging body,’ he thought, but that was due to his tedious workout schedule that he never strayed from. He did it no matter the weather, and no matter what or who he did the night before. ‘Who,’ he thought. Seb laughed bitterly taking a long drag from his cigarette, and blowing it out. There seemed to be a lot of who’s recently. Not that he minded, Seb did love a good party, and sex always seemed to follow one.

There was something about the way the wind tickled her cheeks and tossed about her hair; how the sweat dribbled down the back of her neck, cool to the touch and sweet smelling. There was something about the idea of leaving everything behind, the idea freedom from the rest of the world. She loved nothing more than to be alone in her thoughts. She couldn't explain the way it made her feel to anyone else. It was like ice cold water on a hot summer day. Refreshing, with every step.. and boy, was it addictive.
Today was supposed to be her day off; Willow had to laugh at the thought. She didn’t know the meaning of “day off” because she hadn’t had one in her entire life. She was constantly doing something, whether she was submersed in her studies, taking up a new volunteer project, testing out a new hobby, or at the gym; either for personal reasons or work related. She didn’t like staying still for long, it was always better for her to occupy herself and so today, she’d climbed happily out of bed and pulled on her workout clothes. It didn’t matter the time of day, Willow was always in the mood for a run and so that was what she intended to do. Willow glanced at herself in the mirror before she left the house, tugging her hair into a loose ponytail. There wasn’t much use getting all dolled up just to mess it up with sweat and frankly, she didn’t care too much about how pretty she looked. Half the time she didn’t even believe that she was pretty. She looked in the mirror and saw someone who was extremely intelligent, strong-willed, and independent. If other’s thought she was pretty, that was simply a bonus.
Clad in a bright pink sports bra and yoga pants with her ipod strapped to her hip and her water bottle perched on her back in a sling, she made her usual run – working out was probably one of the only times she chose not to be modest, any other time she probably would of worn a turtle neck sweater if she thought it was fashion forward enough to be acceptable. Nearing the end of her run, she made her way into a little park and decided to slow down a little bit but not quite to a stop. Her heart was pounding and sweat was dripping down the sides of her face as she continued along the grass and through the scattered trees. She debated stopping for a moment on a nearby bench while glancing down at her ipod to choose a song – that simple moment of distraction was enough to take her eyes off of where she was going. And I’m guessing you know what happened next. She caught the edge of a stranger’s foot with her own, sending her shooting forward to catch her balance. When she caught it, she offered an apologetic smile. “Oops, sorry.. I’m..” she paused, tugging her ear buds from her ears and turning to look at the stranger. Her eyes trailed over the outline of his gorgeous face while she searched for the right word. “Clumsy.” She offered finally, unable to keep her eyes from lingering on the cigarette perched between his fingertips. She wanted to gag, she didn’t understand the point of filling your lungs with poison just for the hell of it but she wasn’t going to be rude and who was she to judge? "Those are bad for you, y’know.” She stated simply, as if he didn’t already know, before shrugging her shoulders and moving on. “Names Willow, sorry again... I tend to lose myself while I run.”

Seb slid down the tree, exhausted. He had been up since five that morning, like he was every morning for his run around the town. He closed his eyes for a bit, not falling asleep, but simply relaxing. He allowed his mind to drift back to the previous night. It had been a wild night if he remembered correctly, lots of drinking going on. Seb wasn’t the type of person who would normally go drunk at a party… well.. at least not these last couple of years, but normally he at least maintain some type of control. What had happened? He was still slightly hung over from the night before, and the pitter-patter of feet, or random chirping and/or croaking from the animals moving around him was totally not helping his headache. He rubbed his temples, trying to ease his pounding head, his mind still on the party last night. Something important had happen, that he wasn’t remembering, and that bothered him a little. He shrugged off that feeling and opted to not think on it for a while. Maybe it would come to him later, if he let his mind rest for a little while.
He took a long drag from his cigarette, and let out a deep breath, taking in the early morning atmosphere. He always liked the early morning the best. There was just stillness in the morning that the rest of the day didn’t have, and he loved that. He also enjoyed the animals that came out in the morning. He liked the chirping sounds of the crickets, and the splashing of the frogs as they hopped from one end of the pond the next. He loved hearing the birds talk to one another, and watching the animals he didn’t get to see during the night interact with each other. Seb leaned his head back against the tree and closed his eyes.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn’t realized that anyone had walked up to him. He nearly jumped out of his skin when something nudged his foot. Seb looked up just in time to see a girl trip in front of him. A smile tug at his lips, “You okay there?” he said a chuckle breaking through. He shrugged as she pointed out how bad cigarettes were, “Yeah… but so is almost every at this point.” Putting out his cigarette, he pushed himself off the ground and looked over the girl in front of him. He had seen her a few times when he had visited the gym. She was a personal trainer if he wasn’t mistaken. She was quite beautiful, he observed, a bit younger than him, but not young enough that he felt like a perv for talking to her.
“Sebastian,” he said a small smile playing on his lips, “but everyone calls me Seb.” His parents had the worst naming skills, at least when it came to naming their sons; his sisters had some pretty good names. He felt bad for his brothers, whose name was way worst off, I mean Paxton Eugene, Theodore Cornelius, really. He was sure Pax would change his name when he got older, but he said, it added class. Yea… right… Pax had about as much class as a camel. “It’s all good, I mean there are worse things in life than having a pretty girl literally stumble over you. Besides I totally get losing yourself in a run, if the weather’s right, and Spotify is doing the thing, I can run for hours.” He paused for a second, looking her over, ´”How much further do you have on your run? ´ I mean I’ve still got a little ways to go, and if you wanted to we could run together for a bit?” He shrugged, “Only if you wanna tho.”

Willow straightened herself out and wiped her hands on her pants, getting rid of any dirt she'd managed to pick up when she'd tripped. "I'm fine." She nodded, still trying to calm her breathing. Normally, she tried not to stop so abruptly when she was running, she liked to work her way down slowly to a walk. But of course, when you're clumsy and tend not to pay attention to where you're going, that isn't always possible. "I see your point." She offered in return when he mentioned everything being bad at this point. It was the sad truth, even tiara's had the chance of causing birth defects in woman, or cancer. 'I guess he's just beating the whole world to it' but Willow couldn't even fathom the idea of smoking, especially with her being so physically active. It would just slow her down and besides, she didn't figure they tasted very good anyhow.
"Seb, huh?" she pondered over his nickname for a second, personally didn't see anything wrong with his full name. She was actually quite fond of it but she supposed out of politeness she would use his nickname, guessing that that was what he had preferred to be called. "Well, it's nice to meet you Seb." She offered a gentle smile, she thought maybe she'd seen him before once or twice but she couldn't quite peg where. Willow had a bad habit of being so absorbed in what she was doing that the whole world faded behind her. She supposed it was both a blessing and a curse. It made it easier for her to focus on things such as exams and working with clients. but when it came to remember complete strangers, she was at a loss.
She'd blushed bright red the instant he'd said the word pretty. She was flattered, here she was discretely drooling over the fact that he'd even bothered to strike up a conversation with her and now he was giving her compliments. If she hadn't been one hundred percent sure that he'd been talking to her due to the fact that the nearest person was still a good amount of distance away from them. She probably would of glanced behind her and then pointed dramatically to her chest. 'Me?..Me, pretty. No way.' She could feel the heat on her cheeks and she hoped it would go away the second that it came. "Uhm, not much further...maybe another mile or so." She answered, a little too quickly, reaching to take her water bottle out of the sling before taking a large swig from it. She didn't understand why she was so flustered. She had dealt with men who were probably just as gorgeous if not more, than he was on a daily basis. But that was work, so there was something in her mind that made them seem off limits to her. 'Quick, think up something clever. Stop being so awkward.' She thought to herself, replacing her water bottle into its sling. Finally, she mustered up an answer. "That depends.." She paused, her competitive side bubbling up inside of her. "You sure you can keep up?" She flashed a cheeky grin and with that, she was off.
She didn’t replace her ear buds this time in hopes that he would soon catch up with her; instead she tucked them into the case her iPod was holstered into. Her hair bouncing as her feet pitter pattered against the softness of the grass. She wasn’t going full speed; she had no intentions of losing him unless he decided not to join her. Willow didn’t see anything wrong with a little friendly competition; in fact, she welcomed any kind of competition.
oc: sorry if this sucks. >.<
