rules*
please read all of the rules thoroughly. although they are pretty basic they are still very important to the site and should be revisited on a regular basis as they are subject to change at any point in time. thank you and welcome to thinking out loud!
general
• the number one rule is have respect for everyone. the staff, the members, the guests.
• if you plan to join the site, please stay active! the application is short so that we can get our characters up and rolling quickly.
• if you plan to be away for awhile, let us know in the member's lounge. we would hate to see you get deleted when you planned to return.
• this site is rated PG-13, some cursing is allowed but try and keep it and everything else you wouldn't want to know as a 13 year old down to a minimum. That being said, members must be at least 13 to join this site.
• PARTICIPATE! post plot pages to get your character's rolling, post in site-wide events and heck, even post an open thread or two. get your character involved.
• PM the staff with any of your questions or concerns.
• HAVE FUN!
character
• as soon as possible, please change your display name to your character's first middle and last name in all lower case.
•before posting your application, check the face claims! if you see that someone has the face claim you want, PM the member using them and see if they need a twin.
•please be patient while waiting for your application to be accepted. the staff is working as fast as they can and they will get to your application as soon as they are able to. take the time you are waiting to be accepted to go and post in the claims boards. DO NOT start roleplaying or posting in the ICC before you are accepted.
• every character MUST have a face claim. face claims have to be WELL KNOWN/FAMOUS PEOPLE, no internet famous scene kids and the like.
•no two characters may have the same LAST name- unless they're related of course.
•the youngest a character can be is probably eighteen. the site has been designed for the older adult/college crowd.
•you may have a maximum of 6 characters at any point throughout the site. this is so that we are able to keep all of our characters equally active. if you have six characters and you want a new one, then you are required to delete one of your old characters but you must wait until the next activity check is posted up. your new character however, will not be accepted until the old one is gone.
•be creative. no person is perfect, even the prettiest of people have flaws.
•make sure you check the updates to see if there are any bans on characters!
roleplaying
•this site takes place in tomball, texas. i suggest looking up pictures and or doing a little research so that you are a little acquainted with what tomball life is like. remember, texas.. so it's hot and humid for the majority of the year.
• our current word count is 250 words minimum on all posts, except for those in the mini threads board. remember in order to post within this board you must have at least one ACTIVE thread posted in the main boards.
•use proper grammar/spelling, spell-check is your FRIEND!
•no god-moding please. no one likes it.
graphics
•Avatars should be 230x400. we have disabled signatures because we think that it looks better without them. if enough of the members get together and decide they want that option back, it will return.
•everyone MUST have at least an avatar! If you aren't able to find one, let panda know and she may be able to make you one.
out of character chat
•NO FIGHTING IN THE CHATBOX! if you have a problem with any member on the site. PM them and try to work things out, if that doesn't work THEN PM a staff member. remember to be respectful.
•do not advertise anywhere on the board except the advertising board! If you want your site to be advertised, post it in the ADVERTISING board. NOT in the chat-box or any other board not marked ADVERTISING.
•chat box rules are pretty self-explanatory (and common sense) do not spam, advertise or troll, EVER. And don't impersonate anyone, EVER!
•do not steal! give credit where it is due.
•plagiarizing the material of other members is unacceptable and those who steal characters/applications and are caught will be removed from the site - we don't tolerate it!
•You must have a new account for every new character that you make.
in-character
•before you are able to post in the icc, your application must be accepted and all of the mandatory claims should be properly filled out.
•god moding isn't allowed! again, no one likes it.
•we understand that not everyone is going to get along, however the icc is meant to be casual. so please keep the verbal and physical assaults to a minimum.
•be respectful!
•if we see an increase in activity going towards the ICC and a decrease in activity on the boards, the ICC will be closed down. so please, don't over use it. we want rping to be fun and we understand the need for something a little light. we don't want it gone just as much as you do, so stay active!
